Just had a search, and it seems that most have had slotted front discs and Type Z pads, with plain rear discs and the R-01 pads.

Maybe Dixon's being doing some research?
Dixon always said to run the higher spec pads on the rear because the rears get hotter (which they do). But that was before they had FCR rear disks available, so maybe with FCR rears there's no need. It might even be better to run Type Zs all round - I've never got them to fade.

I thought the slots were there to help deglaze the pads - I don't know what the issue is with the R01 pads. They do look good though. Unlike that bonnet which is total...

Don't do it. There must be pleanty of better things to spend your money on.

The slotted disk can use with the R01 pad but you will have to put the slot facing backward, if you face it forward you will ended up with too much braking power. This is only good for if you are running full slick. Semi slick and road tyres just put the slot facing backward.

Mark, a vented bonnet will add around 5decibels to the noise emitting from the car.

If it's functional then yes, otherwise its a bit too fast too furious for my tastes.

I had my J's Racing Carbon V-Type bonnet for two weeks and it is for sale since last week. I'd rather sell it than paint it. The CF look, does change completely the way the S2000 looks on the road. Some like it, others hate it. I felt that it would be a shame to paint it. It's a beauty!

I was impressed with the quality of the bonnet though. It fits like an OEM bonnet.
