It apparently is ok with the Z type pads, but not the R01.

Too much braking force, although i'm not sure I understand the mechanics of that happening, other than the direction of the slots causing more friction / heat. The actual slots themselves are evenly machined, ie there is no chamfer on one side and not the other.

I quite like the fronts locking up though

 

I can lock the fronts with my Brembos--we need stickier rubber!

On another note, i'm tempted to take the plunge on a Mugen wheel and WorksBell hub adapter... I get sweaty hands and gloves don't work on the shiny OEM wheel.

Have you found out what the insurance implications of removing the airbag are?

My insurers are pretty special, but will be double checking Monday though.

This is the Recaro Pole Position i've gone for. Sadly it's got the big white logo on it, rather than the small one they do on the middle of the seat.



Might get a second one if it fits ok!

 

Or better dampers.
