Default Mileage on S2000

Hi, this is my first post on these forums. I've been looking for an S2000 for last 4 months and finally a mint condition one has come up for me. Problem is it has 93,000 miles on it. Is this a problem with these cars, or does it matter with Honda's??

This would be my main car as I'm tring to get rid of a Volvo S60 so would do a lot of miles myself.
Hope ye guys can help me!!

Thanks in advance, great site, keep up the good work.

Mine has 103k on the clock and I'm not worried.

Having said that as my only car if I was changing it I would want something with half that mileage.

Mine just died at 107k. i bought it on 84 and was ok up till now but I would definitely advise you buy a lower mileage car. The engines are under alot more stress than normal cars as they obviously rev so high. Alot seem to go in the early 100s. Some last longer but if you have the chance buy a lower miler.

Depends how much?

Also if its been correctly serviced you will have no problems, plenty of people on here with 100k+ engines.

103k here on an 04 model too

Purrs like a kitten but plenty of those were non-stressful motorway miles

IMO not everything should rest on the mileage.

General condition, number of owners (if it's had loads someone is bound to have thrashed it at some point), service history, etc.

Like everything in life you get what you pay for and nothing lasts forever

Mileage should be reflected in the price.

There are a fair few S2000's which have let go on 100k ish miles.

Full service history is a minimum.

What you don't know is if it's spent it's life at 9k rpm.
