Mintbitz Brakes - Anyone used them?
Hi all,
Picked up my S2000 today - In New Imola Orange Pearl Love the colour!
Anyway, it needs a bit of work and one thing that is shocking is the brakes. I've found some of these online, but was wondering if they're any good? I don't want to be paying £100 a corner for brakes but I don't want anything that's worse than OEM quality for instance.

Thanks for any feedback.

I have honestly never heard of them. I have heard of Mintex but not Mintbitz? Mintex would be ok, however, If it was me on a budget, I would get some Bremtech brake discs and OEM pads. Thats all you would need on a road car.

I have some of their grooved brake discs on mine at the moment. No problems at all with the discs. Main issue people have with new brake discs is not ensuring the hub faces is clean which causes excessive runout and other issues. Wire brush and a drill do a great job of removing any corrosion on the hub face.
I brought new discs because nowdays they are cheaper than brake pads so it was better for me to spend the money on the pads and fit new discs to ensure the new pads had a perfect surface to bed in to.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm not a big fan of grooved discs normally as in my experience they just eat the pads faster without actually improving braking efficiency.

Where did you bring them from?

I got a full kit front and rear grooved and dimpled and mintex I like them they work well for me and I drive hard take a few minutes to warm the pads up but I think next time I would just replace the mintex pads for ferodo ds2500 pads but that's just preference
