Default Modifry Alpine plug'n'play adapter

Anyone already got one of these, or have an opinion on whether it will be compatible on a 2007 car with an Alpine 9850RI? modifry link

It would be nice and easy if it did work, as I'm a little nervous about the wiring and everything with the DCI...

I did search, and saw that thread, but the adapter discussed there isn't the new plug'n'play one I've linked to in my post.

I'd also like to hear opinions from anyone who has recently purchased one of the Countdown adapters as this seems a considerably more straightforward solution...

That is a recent addition to Modifry's range.
It should work fine.
I used the OEM plug with leads he provides and made up the same thing.
As he says just check the plug on the Alpin unit looks like his pic.
Mine is with a 9850Ri and it works well!
One word of advice
Don't bother with the SVC. As if you change speed whilst selecting or search the Ipod it overrides your search and puts you back to square one. Very frustrating on a full 40GB Ipod
Do cut the wire the SVC clamps to as it allows the roof down on the move mod

Thanks for the reply Mikey :-)

I e-mailed him about it and he said that "I'm told that European head units have different connectors than US models and that the car connectors are different too - I think they're supposed to be a DIN standard or something but I really don't know". Is this correct? From what you said above, it sounds like it will work OK...

Thanks again!

The car loom connector is OK, Can't recall what the one on the 9850 looks like.
If it looks like the picture on your link you should be OK!
