MX-5 vs. S2000 - My experiences
#31
I got an mx5 as a cheap soft top when moving house in between s2000s (Mrs had one early nineties and she loved it), a 1.8 2004 in a nice black cherry. Worst car I have ever owned, the dullest of drives, no go in it. Had it about 8 months, did about 1500 miles and sold it. Just my opinion. Horrid car.

I keep telling people that if they want to sample the full MX5 experience, they need to get a 89-93 1.6. Later 1.6s are less powerful to make the 1.8 seem like a good idea; UK models are generally turd too.

The missus used to have a 1.6 mk2 and that was ok but being 20 years later I didn't want an old duffer plus you'd have thought they were better. Did look well inside and out.
