Easily get 140mph, at a push I could get 150 if I left the braking late and pushed it around the corner before. When I get the cams and more boost I would hope 150 should be easy.

The heat you must put into those brakes must be insane, i can get fade with OEM sized brakes but with your extra power your approaching every corner quicker and braking harder. Must be great fun thou, it feels like the S2000 could do with an extra 50-100bhp on the tracks with the longer straights so your power output must be interesting to say the least.

Its good because not many people do all the work you've done and then test it and drive it on the track. Quite often at trackdays i see high power cossies, scoobies etc but they cant run long sessions as they haven't been over engineered to deal with the harshness of the track. For me thats one of the best things about the S2000 is that out of the box the engine loves the abuse, keeps going and going whilst the others have to return to the pits
My brother is in a similar boat to you at the moment, he has just had his mini r53 converted to a turbocharger and its putting out 356bhp to the front wheels so hes having to test everything bit by bit before hes confident that it will perform correctly on the track. Its an animal on the road but the track is what really tests the whole set up.
Rolling road of his on the dyno on saturday, limiter woke a few people up! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQUPxSQ31Kg

That's something we get often when building the Safari racers, you get Joe Bloggs at a meet bragging because his Evo puts out 100bhp more than you've stuck in the racer, they don't realise how hard full track and race sessions are on a setup that would be fine on the road.

went to snett yesterday,
The drifters squeal noises were annoying in the background,
was nice that the 200 track was in use=

Did the sprint yesterday. It was great fun. Will defo do it again. Car did well. You can see all the times on the mlr website. I went out drinking last night with the guys who got the top two times. Their cars are mentally quick. Both running around 750-800bhp. The top time in my class was done by a 900bhp gtr so wasn't going to get close. It rained in the afternoon so didn't bother going out again as it was slippy for me when there was damp patches in the morning. I could of improved my times by braking a lot later but when you have no run offs I didn't want to risk it

It's good to read about the progress of your project, Matt. Your car sounds amazing! Btw. Your name sounds like Finnish word 'mäti' which means fish eggs .
It's a shame that we only had a quick chat in Trento and missed the passenger ride in your car. I had bronchitis and fever so I was too tired to walk around and talk to people. I tried sauna, booze, painkillers, antibiotics and hydrocortison tablets but none of them helped .

I did try and find you in the evening but didn't see you in the end. I'm pleased with how the car is turning out, bit more to do and it will almost be there, need to start seriously saving for a larger house.
I have moved the air filter back to the engine bay with a 4" cold air feed, done it for 2 reasons, on full lock the new tyres really hit the pipe and are wearing through it and also it makes it easy to clean the filter now with it being in easy reach. I know it will suck a bit more hot air in but it better it does that than put a hole in the pipe and suck dirty air. I have made a heat shield so the majority will go past it.
The pipe will be powder coated but just trying it first.
