Admiral are saying they will only refurb the wheel, not put a new one on. Am not happy with this and having gotten no where on the phone have sent them a stroppy letter.
What do I pay my premium for?!

At the Honda approved bodyshop (Penning's of Watford) the estimator, Matt Penning, insisted that the wheel was not refurbishable and that a new wheel was required. Although no insurers were involved as lowloaderman agreed to pay for the damage direct, the Honda approved-man insisted on a new wheel.
The point here is, have Admiral referred you to a Honda approved bodyshop? If not, it is your right to insist that damage repairs are carried out by an approved repairer else your warranty will be invalid. So, go to your honda dealer who will tell you who their approved bodyshop is, and then take your car there for a repair estimate. You may get lucky if they insist a new wheel is necessary. Admiral have to indemnify you and that includes warranties.
Good luck

Sounds like a nightmare - what I sometimes don't understand is how on Earth you're meant to coordinate all the administration and to-ing and fro-ing of getting you car fixed at the same time as holding down a 9-5 job. I swear I'd need to take a couple of days off work to get this kind of thing sorted.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Car goes in on the 'morrow and Admiral have just called to say they will authorise a new wheel :-)
So stroppy letters do work!
Now to make sure they track down the b@stard who hit me.
