Thumbs up New Exhaust

After much debate and looking at many systems on other S2k's I ended up going for the Vortex system. I was a bit doubtful initially about claims of more mpg / bhp etc but I have to say that once the few days of having a very heavy right foot, their claims seem to be proving to be true, I'm getting about another 5-10 mpg. Certainly the engine is revving much free'er than with the original system. The loss of back pressure is very evident. But the exhaust note.....Wowser!!!!!

Here's the link to the footage they took of my car just after it came off the ramp.

Many thanks to the chap at the Redhill Honda meet a couple of months ago who put me onto Vortex.

I'm delighted with my new exhaust. It cost me £40 to have the UK Mod done on my spare MY05 exhaust. I did buy the stainless U bend in 38mm from Jetex first though. I think that was £15.
I've fitted it with my chambered decat pipe all by myself. It sounds great!

p.s. sorry for high jacking thread

Glad your happy with it, but 5-10mpg??

I would not expect any improvement from exhaust only. (Maybe 1-2mpg at a push). Happy to be proven wrong.
Means you must be getting high 30's, low 40's??

Enjoy the exhaust and hope the drone is not too bad.

I like the way the exhaust tips fit the rear valance and look OEM, but don't like the disingenuous infomercial feel of this post ( I know my local garage doesn't have a green screen studio and a rather convenient for a first post to have a Vortex splash at the beginning and end of your video ) I do hope they gave you a good deal with the promotional activities and that you get on well with it though.

I always believe exhaust companies when they say; "10% moar powers ! 10% moar torques ! 33% less emissionses !", but even they only claim 3-8 mpg improvement on their website - just sayin'

I expect the 5-10mpg improvement comes from driving much slower since it was fitted.

The reason being that the volume of the drone is intolerable in day to day use.
