Sounds to me we need to see what temperature the discs get to on the track. Then we can look at different pads to see what their coefficient of friction is rather than just playing around with different pads.

Problem with going with a higher coefficent of friction is that from my understanding it means pads with a higher metal content which can knacker the laquer on your wheels.

Yes well a wheel refurb is cheaper than a set of DBA disks.

I still havent fitted the Porterfield pads from that group buy way back when.

Upon inspection they look very poorly molded/cast.

What was the consensus on them ?

they are definately better than standard, you have to work hard to make them fade on the track. Ultimately you can get them to fade, but as i say, it takes effort. They hold on for a lot longer than the oem pads.

Try DS3000 for ruining wheels! Even worse when the ped material embedded in the wheels starts to rust!

Although when warm they are absolutely awesome bads, very sharp and great feel.
