Oh how I laughed.
I caught the last 5 mins of right car wrong car last night.
The guest (Vijay the famous singer !!) chose his old Mondeo over a Toyota Celica and an Audi TT.
I bet they're laughing in the streets on the old TT forum !!

I was in the gym watching this, and was extremely p1$$ed off when 3 minutes into the program my headphones gave up and left me deaf in both ears.
Can anyone elaborate on exactly what the hell a Ferrari 575M was doing being offered to Vijay (and wasnt he singing in a dodgy pub at the start?), versus the rest of the cars they tabled to him ?.
Will try and catch the repeat, and take up lip reading in the meantime.

The Ferrari was just there to represent somthing very special - they didn't spend much time with it. Wasn't red anyway!
In defence of Mondeos, I have to say that the last generation model was a VERY nice drive - better than the current incarnation IMHO, which I feel is a bit antiseptic.
I thought the TT would have been the best choice - especially when taking depreciation into account.
But I'm not sure the punter was that serious about spending his money, or whether he had the wedge he claimed....................
Finally, what were the presenters playing at, offering him a couple of 4x4s????? He quite clearly stated at the outset he wanted something fast and sexy, with 'pulling' a key objective! A Lexus 4x4, I ask you!
What about a second hand XK8?

the show is complete bollox. How many people do you know choose a car with prices ranging from 21K (Celica) to 40K (T5)? complete rubbish programme. last week it was Z3M (35K) vs Lotus Elise (27K) Vs Impreza (20K)
Surely everyone picks their price range and picks the best car (well I did anyway) unless you have more money you can shake a stick at. My original choices were roughly;
2 yr old TT (hairdresser)
4 yr old Boxter (OK in my eyes but too many)
3 yr old M3 (drug dealer)
1 yr old Elise (too basic)
4 yr old XK8/XKR (too old manny)
New Impreza (drug dealer II)
Never looked at the Evo, would definately get stolen where I live.

For the amount of money he paid for a used TT 225 coupe, I would have bought a BRAND NEW S2000 GT (also available in silver with red leather).
I'm glad they didn't offer him a S though.
I think a hairdressers car suited him quite nicely !!
