Isn't it nice to own electronic equipment with character?!

Mine periodically turns itself off when the engine is turned off and doesn't come back on when I restart the car - it has to be switched on at the power button and the station re-tuned.

Any ideas? An issue to do with excess heat perhaps......?
My old one in the Saab used to do this. There was no logic to it (it would do it on long or short trips, ie hot or cold), and no dash adaptor. I think it's a quirk of some HUs rather than anything to do with the adaptor.

I've found that my dash mounted channel button often changes the mode from e.g. radio to CD?

Very odd

1st thing in the morning adjusting volume using the dash controls occasionally makes my tuner change frequency!
Mine does this sometimes when cold too

I also have an issue where very occasionally the mute button will not mute the HU.
Mine does this when I have the heaters on and they are hot

My non-Alpine head unit is working fine, even from the dash controls

My Sony HU has "character" too.
I out it down to the Lucid adaptor getting too hot. Haven't figured out how to fix it yet.
