Anybody know anything about these guys other than whats on there web site. Evo mags first impressions are good but they havnt tried long term yet. I like the idea of not having to polish the car again, thinking about getting the M3 done.

i read the same article. i had a look at their website a few weeks ago. they carry out a simliar process on boats and planes too. might be worth waiting to see what they think of it 6 months down the line.

i forked out for an autoglym life polish when the car was new (about a month ago) . cant really say i notice any difference. the water beads of the car but dont they on all new cars?? if it does in 6 months time and i havent polished it then i`ll be impressed.

Are the autoglym and permagard the same? I know the permagard isn't a polish, its quite a long drawn out process which involves a sort of plastic coating over the car. Is said to last a year then needs a top up. Apparently first treatment is

The autoglym is similiar to the supaguard protection that honda dealers do. i couldnt be bothered taking it to one of them as there`s a VW grage just round the corner from where i work. the permaguard sounds like it would do a much better job. i read reviews on the autoglym after i had it done and some of them werent great. some of the guys on here dont rate the supaguard either.

definitely wait and see.i might get it done in six months or so when the winters over if evo right up a good review. its half the price of the supaguard/autoglym but the interior is alos done on the autoglym/supaguard.

the permaguard is worth the

Had out Alfa GTA supaguarded two years go. A few observations

1) They give you some creme called paintseal and tell you to polish the car every 3 months! (Which we have)
2) car is now 2 and we have just had to clay the car and re-paintseal and wax (Deep Crystal). it now looks like new again. Few swirls but nothing to speak of.

3) The stuff they use comes in a foam application pack. Spread all over new paintwork then just buff off after 30 mins. It's some type of resin.
4) I think if I had waxed from day one then clay would not have been needed.
5) if polishing and waxing every 3 months sounds familiar to you then you should make your own choice.

From what I understand, and they keep their cards close to their chests on precisely what it is, these are all some kind of resin, a glorified polish, and

my car is supagarded and I think it is very good indeed. I don't spend ages polishing it like a lot a people like to, and I understand why people aren't keen on it. It is a lot easier to clean even heavy dirt off and does come up very shiny indeed. I don't disagree that with a decent wax applied regularly you could get better results, but if you want to get a good result quickly and with little/no polishing effort then I recommend it. Yes main dealers do charge the earth but shop around on the net and you'll find it at much lower costs which I'm sure are negotiable further.

IMO if you apply a good glaze/sealant combo you won't have to do anything to the car for months (6-12) except wash and dry it if you are after a decent shine. For those of us who do more or regularly it is because we want a extremely good deep shine to the car all the time.

Superguard is a far FAR inferior product to permagard believe me!

My Dads new 5 was supagarded from new 6 months ago, it looks like crap now

My Uncles five year old M5 had permagard done 2 months ago, before that the car was COVERED in swirls, flat paint spots and it looked awful, 2 months on it looks absolutely brand new with a finish like a mirror! He washes it occasionally but doesnt find the need to, I followed behind his car the other day after a downpooar after which the sun came out and the roadsurface was literally reflected in the car like a mirror! You would need a microscope to find a single swirl mark on that car and I have NEVER seen a finish on a roadcar like that outside of a motorshow stand, NEVER!

My brother is a good acquaintance of the chap running the permagard UK program, he is somewhat of a Supercar Guru (evo refers to him as 'the man Horatio Pagani asked to bring the Zonda to the world' and thats no exaggeration!) So the product and service have massive credibility!

Anyway, my Berlina is booked in to get permagarded on the week of the 17th Oct, they are gonna give it extra special attention as its the first S2000 they are doing and the man in charge is a fan of them so my car is going to be used in some of their company literature aswell!!

Couldnt recommend this product highly enough after seeing the finish on that M5 and the track record of the man in charge (iv TOTALLY forgotten his name )
