Default Quick advice needed please

Hi this is my first post, so sorry if i am posting in the wrong section... I am from Ireland but i am hoping to travel to the uk tomorrow to look at a Honda s2000. To be honest i am not 100% confident that i know enough about them (or cars for that matter) so i was wondering if anyone has heard of any system in the uk where by a mechanic will call out to inspect the car for you.

I have heard that the AA do this but i think you need to be a member with them. What are the main things that i need to look out for on this car as i really don't want to be sold a #"@%*&! if you know what i mean. The car is advertised on autotrader (private)

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome 007

If you post details of the car and rough location, then i'm sure somebody experienced would be able to come and look at it for you.

If you look in the FAQ there is a very good buyers guide in there.

Please have a read of that and see if you have any questions!

There are quite a few things to look for, and suspension bushes is the one which will cost you - and can really only be checked with the car jacked up.

Good luck!

There are a good few of us in Bourmemouth - but I am not around for a while.

Looks like it has new door cards and 04 wheels.

The radio cover and centre console are from a later car also. I've noticed that the hard top has been resprayed, the trim area that would go around the top of the doors should be black and it has been colour matched on this one.

I've used the RAC in the past and you don't need to be a member, if you spending 10k it's worth spending
