The 00 - 01 unit is a re-badged Alpine with some pins swapped.

It won't work with any other head unit.

Best bet is to sell it on ebay and buy a new changer to match the new head unit.

(I did this some time back and sold the Honda changer for the same price as the Alpine changer I replaced it with )

Ta for that. I assume the cable is therefore not compatable with a new Alpine changer / HU either?

It's slightly bigger, but the same pins. It will work if you force it, but I would changed it for the correct cable

Ok, thanks again.

Look in the tech faq for the routing of the changer wire
