Default rear view mirror

As above.

How do these things fit? I can't make it out

I can see a latch, a round ball and a disc on the mirror base, does it just slide upwards, as though you are working from the bottom of the screen upwards? Is there supposed to be a sticky pad too?

Regards

Tom

Disc and a spring, slides into the middle to hold it and then tighten screw to fix the disc. I do remember that you have to turn the screw anti clockwise to tighten the disc.

Sorry to be vague but it was the first fix I did to my car when I bought it and the rear view mirror was loose and then fell off!

Yeah, it's something like that & it's quite a knack to it, IIRC.

Again, it's a long time ago!
