That actually happened to me! The Isle of Man is a pretty small place therefore the mechanic was being especially stupid.

Got a phone call off my daughter asking why I was blasting away from traffic lights with wheels at full spin and who was the passenger. Immediately sussed what was going on when I told her dealer had the car all day.

Well pissed off and told the dealer so - AE is right. If you tell them you'll be inspecting for bodywork and other damage, they'll be as paranoid as you and you don't really want to have to shut the stable door...

 

Cheers Man's best! I have already told the service manager that I want to have a "chat" with the mechanic who will be working on my car. I am sure they will no how anal I am about the car.
