On that note, just re-arm the car then repeat unlocking boot opens. This ALWAYS works for me if it doesn't open at first attempt.

I have found the info you need for a replacement fob case. The company is called Hamilton & Palmer, who I believe supply the alarm fitted to UK cars, and their number is 01732 760022. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and knew her stuff. Hope this helps.

P.S I just had a look at that Ebay listing and thats the same type of fob which I have.

Wow, thats great.

Mine has been falling to pieces for ages, went to honda and no surprise they would not do the case on its own, had to have electronics.

The keyfobs can be bought from Hamilton & Palmer (http://www.hamilton-palmer.co.uk/) for about a fiver. The lady on the phone is really helpful. I certainly appreciated her advice when my circuit board blew

My range is rubbish too But I'm not that fussed. What is annoying is the remote boot release which, if you don't press the button again in the right 2 second gap, means crawling in the car to press the stupidly-placed button, or risk scratching your boot as your fumble with the keys and whatever boxes/bags you are carrying!!
What's the remote boot release?

When you unlock the car with the remote fob, if you push and hold down the unlock button again within 3 sec of unlocking the car, the boot will automatically pop open. Its a little bit hit and miss though.
