I've not had one on the front since buying my jdm in March. Firstly I didn't like the big plate, then a few weeks after getting it the importer emailed me to say he'd put the wrong reg on! This was the morning I was driving to North Wales (to some dance event and I know in the past the feds have been waiting for people along the road to the event pulling them over for any little thing so they can rip the car part looking for gear. Knowing how over zealous they are I stuck a full size plate with the right numbers in the window and the old plates in the boot armed with an excuse and tightly clenched arse cheeks.

They didnt bother me at the check point and since that I've kept it in the window, I let a traffic cop out of a side junction the other day so he had good chance to look at my plateless front and I've been facing other cop cars a few times and nothings happened yet touchwood, so I think I am going to keep it that way for now and just keep the old plates in the boot and say I've not been able to get a fitting bracket yet, see if that washes should I ever get pulled.

I've seen some US guys put a smaller bracket on to hold the plate rather than the ugly plastc shite Honda slap on! This looks good, especially combined with a smaller
plate size but legal font size. Anyone know where they are available in the UK??
