Default Replacement Alarm

Hi
I have just got my first S2000 (MY99) and want to upgrade the alarm it came with (the overide key fobs are missing). Someone suggested Piranha but as they seemed to have got out of business can anyone recomend another product. Or would it be better to get Honda's standard alarm fitted?

Cheers

Clifford seems to be the most popular around here.

Neil also recommends that alloy wheel locking nuts are thrown away (I suspect he has criminal connections...)

Should I also give Neil my address so he can come and take it when he feels like it?

Neil can propbaly hack your IP address via this website and track you down. He's probably staring at you via your own webcam right now....

I had a clifford concept 650 fitted to mine, its got a microwave sensor that gives a warning if anyone reaches into the car and then goes off if they don't leave the vehicle. Seems to work really well, but quite pricey at

What's the time given to remove oneself from the car? I'd have thought such a feature coule potentially allow the lighthanded to quickly grab something from the passenger seat if the roof was down?

Well it actually depends on how fast and large the offending object is - if you move your hand quickly the alarm will go off (I'm sure in most cases it would give a warning beep which would startle most people and make them jog their hand back setting the alarm off) but anything larger than that would set it off for sure.

The zone function works very well as if you move you hand across the roof when its up it will still give you a warning beep, this can be adjusted to whatever sensitivity you want...

If I went for aftermarket, I think it would be clifford 600 with proximity sensor (I think thats the model anyway)
