That's normal for any 13 year old car kept outside and used all weathers. I personally would give it a miss.my 99 year car has no rust on subtracts or cross member.. Good cars are out there, be prepared to travel and pay a premium for them.

Mine looked like that on the cross member under bonnet its thicker metal than wings ect, wire brushed mine and spray painted it with silver hamerite and quite a good match with my Silverstone 04.
Water just sits on top so most are like that, some worse than others, but as said the metal is thick in that area.see if a screwdriver goes through it !!!
it will also need undersealing correctly on the floor pans<Honda forgot>
Get some $ off and haggle..
Dealer prices though !!

Nothing new. Took me around 2 months to find a decent one that wasn't tatty (and that was around 7 years ago!).

These cars (especially the pre-facelift) are going to need some money thrown at them over the next few years by their owners to keep them going. Mine had a full respray last year however the underside is now showing signs of corrosion and is about to go to Torque GT for some serious Dinatrol action.

None of that is serious and quite common - just signs of a car that has been used.

Of more concern would be the rear arches and any sign of bubbling paint.

The rear exhaust change is a little odd - but i quite like the older round tips.

Great colour, with some nice extras.

Mugen exhaust, according to the blurb! Take it off, swap it for a stock system (plus £ your way), and put that towards treating the rust . Same with the intake if mods aren't your thing.

IMO all normally used S2000 look like that.

Effort is required to sort it out but it can be done.

Depends on what you’re buying the car for I suppose, daily or weekend dry weather toy.

Just got to be to patient for the right car to show up I suppose. Missed out on a couple of 'local' ones the last couple of months. But, no rush!
