Is this rust anything to worry about?

As an original owner of an MY02 AP1 with nearly 200K mi on it and many of those in New England winter (with the top down, of course), I can tell you that these cars do rust just like any other Honda.
I say, life is short, drive it until you can't anymore. That said, I am getting close to that point myself... The earlier comment is true; anyone who wants to keep one of these going has to be willing to put some work in. Mechanically, I think the S is perhaps the most robust car I've ever had, and with respect to rust the mechanicals are fine. Body rust, though, as with any Honda, is very hard to stop and will require steel panel replacements within a couple of years of being visible.
These cars are getting old, guys, and sadly they've been out of production for many years. I suppose that's made prices climb regardless of condition.
Anyway, best wishes in your searches. The S remains the best car I've ever owned, and I hope you all get to experience that driving joy.
