Must be the "We don't want to fix it" excuse
Good to change the whole lot anyway, gives you piece of mind
Are there any changes with the CR version? I would imagine it would be just about the same, maybe the flywheel would be lighter though?

Got the throw out bearing for 1/3rd the price of the HUK price.
OH and yes, both garages agreed that it was noisy and that inspection would be a good idea but since neither of them would agree it was warranty related, the inspection labour would be chargeable unless a fault was found. I just wasn't convinced they'd manage to find a fault covered by warranty so i left it.

Sounds like they bullied you a bit..
I would have asked HQ... although the branch could fight it as wear and tear

They are without question the worst manufacturer i've ever had the misfortune to deal with.
It was less a case of bullying and more a case of inept and disinterested. It has been serviced by indies since that happened and I would never buy another car from a Honda dealer ever again because of that experience.

Am I correct in thinking that if I remove my air conditioning I can run the OEM alternator belt off the CR?
Alternatively you can get a non-aircon belt from Mugen, Spoon and even Halfords (search for the part number on here).

Priced an exedy clutch at work today for the S, £378 for a 3 part kit, makes the oe release bearing price seem like highway robbery.
