I'm not saying this guy was doing anything wrong at all, its more than likely a failure of some sort which has caused him to crash. I'd rather have a skin of aluminium with rigid structure than a bit of material <img src=/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />' />
I completely agree with you, the S2000 is eminently driveable, even in the wet, but that's probably a conversation for elsewhere on the forum.

I don't think this thread is the right place or time for conjecture about the reason for the crash though. It's tragic no matter what happened.

Durham Constabulary said 'collision' so maybe other cars were involved and perhaps the accident was caused by someone else?

Let's not jump to conclusions.
It's like they never say accident, but say incident. So if it turns out not to be accidental they won't have problems in court. It was the newspaper that called it an accident.

That's a visual sign deemed to be more relevant and understandable to other road users, an officer should never use the word. As I posted "they never say accident". And to clarify my pointing out the use of the word collision, it doesn't have to be with another vehicle could be any object.

whatever the circumstances the outcome was tragic and very sad.
