I have to say I've had mine for a year and apart from parts I've fitted and servicing it has cost me nothing apart from the of top up of oil, top car I'd say

free insurance?

it is a cheap car to run imo. even servicing, but's in no corsa 1.4 diesel

If you ignore insurance,servicing,fuel and depreciation,then they have a good point.

Try running a Boxster or a Z4 for a bit! The cheapest service I had on a boxster was £300 and that wasn't at a dealership. I've been quoted 90 quid at my local Honda Dealership for my 99k service if I take my own oils.

The car is the bargain of the century.

Mind you, I don't believe that, either.

mines costing me a fortune to run.

bought last march for 7k

tax - £265
Insurance - £650
service - £300
new front calipers - £160
arb droplinks all round - £60
tct - £150
used wheels and tyres - £550
rear tyres - £250
Geometry adjustment - £120
fuel - £30 per week
oil - £15 every 1500 miles

Depreciation probably £1000

so thats nearly 5k in just under a year!

Doesnt stop me loving the car though

im sure thats about the average 1 litre every 1500 miles, mind you it hasnt used any during these winter months
