Actually working in London and living very near, I agree the drivers are less likely to thank you for letting them out/through and more readily inclined to lean on the horn, but when you compare it to say somewhere like Plymouth ( a reasonable large 250,000 people) and there are somewhere in the region of 7million in London, you are gonna run into the ignorant more often.
Not all of us are that bad. Any major city is going to be worse than a smaller one.

Obviously they were only borrowing the car off someone else and had a limited time to try it?? Perhaps he was used to a people carrier/ 4x4 where they obviously own the road?
Still the best thing to remember is that he was the only one thinking he was important and you weren't the only one thinking he was a tw@t!!

James, that reminds me, I spent a lot of time in Tokyo last year on business, and have friends out there and recently spent a couple of weeks there in September, whilst there I saw a Silver S2000 outside 'Good Honest Grub' one Sunday morning, whilst I was walking away from looking at it, a westerner walked over and got in. You by any chance???
