Being front wheel drive it's much easier to drive the CTR quickly, especially on public roads and/or in the wet.

On a track or similar environment then the S2000 will be quicker.

On the Nurburgring the CTR is 9 seconds slower and the ITR is either 3 or 5 (can't remember which) seconds slower than the S2000 which is not a lot over 13 miles.

People who think an S2K will destroy a CTR are deluding themselves. There is naff all in it, and it's more down to who has the most balls.
Do you think a 111R would destroy a S2k 60-130?

Yup that extra 40 bhp gets you nowhere!

Odd really, but it does illustrate the fact that you need huge amounts more to out power someone.

Totally disagree with the comments about driver for driver in point-to-point driving. The S2000 is usefully faster there! My mate has a CTR and last year on a two week holiday up in the Highlands of Scotland we swapped back and forth a fair bit. We both agreed the lower centre of gravity in the S2000 and the FR layout with 50:50 weight distribution made it far more capable in the bends. Granted on a super smooth surface or in the wet the CTR will be as fast and possibly quicker but not on a real scottish road

I had quite fun little run with an '05 ITR on the M1 yesterday. There was nothing in it but he was obvioulsy willing to go a lot faster than me to prove a point. I want to keep my license as long as possible!!

Kenny, I went in a CTR a while back on a country back road and it was ****ing awful compared to either my S2000, STi and the Evo.

Felt like it was going to tip over, and was bouncing all over. At one point I thought I was going to die, as it made such a meal out of the humps.

Id never have one.

ITR DC5 is on my list though

What's that got to do with the price of fish?

To answer your question, the 111R obliterates the S2K in every way performance-wise, apart from its performance above 130mph. It'll get to 150, but it's pretty much the same as (perhaps even a bit slower than) the S2K after 130.

I had a run with a CTR last night coming back from Aberdeen and he was pushing it. Coming out Dundee there's a couple roundabouts that you can really take off from and each time, I had him but not by much! Was good fun till I turned off for Glasgow and I presume he was carring on to Edinburgh.

Both the K20a ITR and CTR will give it a run any day. Neither will be able to pass the other on a track, unless it is raining, then the CTR/ITR will probably demolish the S.
I disagree with that. I've been on track with CTR's quite a few times and there is a difference in speed between the two cars with the S2K having the edge. I've sat behind a CTR mid corner watching the back end of the CTR slide across the track whilst i'm perfectly composed in the S, waiting for him to get out of the way.

On the road there isn't much in it. The S2k is marginally quicker in a straight line drag, but there really isn't much in it.
