Yeah, there are a few "husky" guys on here who could do with decent info on potential seats.

A bag of foam is a good idea but looks a bit "kit car".

Anyone think of a place in the south that would have a lot of seats in stock I can try?

I'm 6'4" and 21 stone (although no one believes it). I went with the BYS rails and it made a world of difference. If there was good info on bucket seats available I would be interested, but not willing to take a punt without some knowledge.

Interested in seeing what you come up with.

I found a thread a while ago when looking for things like this and basically people managed to lower there seating position by an inch without paying anything.

Way it was done was to remove the seat and remove seat covers, you'll see four bolts on each seat (2 per side ) you then re-drill holes in the side below the existing ones and re-bolt which moves the base downwards. This gives you about 3/4 inch if i remember correctly.

One guy even removed some of the foam from the base whilst retaining a sufficient amount to retain comfort.

Free to do

I think the only drawback of the 'redrill holes' method was that you only lower the seat base, and not the seat back. This changes the relative position of the lumbar support to seat base, and this seems to have caused a comfort problem for some.

I suppose if you're that tall then then having a slightly higher lumbar position may actually be a good thing, but people are all different shapes and sizes even for an equal height.
