Sometimes - usually in the morning my 04 is reluctant to change upto second, the shift isnt smooth and needs some persuasion, I would think this is just simple adjustment at the next service ?

this is a common problem IIRC until its warms up.

MY m00 does this on most occasions after a wee while its fine.

 

Normal...All S's do it..Some say change the gearbox oil.I adjusted the clutch pedal travel on top of the clutch pedal and that made a difference to shifting gear,there is also another adjustment on the clutch rod to the master cylinder but that need to be done carefully as it can damage your clutch if adjusted to far..
