Default Shin-Etsu

Hi

Need to treat my rubber seals when I remove my hardtop in a few weeks so I have been seeking out some Shin-etsu grease.

Found some on this website:

http://www.chilternconnections.co.uk/ShopP...tsu/SEG30M.html

Given how much it costs id hoped that the 30g syringe would be enough?

Is 30g only enough for one treatment or would it last a few years? Never used this grease before so need the benefit of your experiences?

Incidentally, does anyone know if the syringe comes with a lid/cap as youd get with the larger tube?

Thanks guys

Iwan

A tiny bit goes a long way.

Just grease every 3 months.

30g might last you 4 maybe 5 years.

Not sure if this is the same stuff, but it's cheaper

Linky

I simply went into a local dive shop and got a tub of silicone grease for a more sensible price

OB-IWAN - I'm not far away from you and could do with some grease for my soft top too. Could go halves on a big tube of the Shin Etsu? Some decent roads heading to Wallingford to go get some.

Alternatively my gf lives near a dive shop so could get something from there instead.

Hi Colin,

Think it might be more hassle than its worth sharing a large tube... and im quite likely to lose it as some point too!

Thanks for the offer!

Might look into this scuba/dive grease tho.
