Default Simple question re. PRM

Well I've faffed about long enough and decided I need to take some positive action. I've tried the airbox-off and it sounds but I can't put up with the hoover sound, so its a new intake for me

As noise is the number 1 concern, PRM seems obvious route but a new job means a couple of longish motorway trips each week - can anyone with a PRM fitted reassure me that it doesn't drone or increase the noise levels below say 4k revs/ 80mph ??

Cheers

I was thinking PRM a while ago but am now thinking a new exhaust would be better, as I am like you and want more sound.

I think the PRM drops a few bhp though I am sure someone will say some of the exhausts do the same.

What you gain on the swings you lose on the roundabouts.

Dont do it.

go for a snorkel & an exhaust.

A prm fcuks the whole thing up. IMO both output & aural

I sort of understand that - but cost is a factor - CAI and exhaust would be over

PRM is only noisy when you hit VTEC, the rest of the time you wouldn't notice the difference from the stock air box.

PRM is fine, didnt notice any performance drop, sounds standard upto vtec, then all hell breaks lose!

Does suffer from heat soak but so does the standard arrangment, so deffo gets a big thumbs up from me, best money I've spent on the S.
