Bit of an update - assessor has seen the car and work will start on Monday. New window, new OEM hood and both doors painted due to some scratches (very minor ones, I have to say) all with a 5 year warranty. Should be sorted in a week or so.

Thanks for the support guys - I'm keeping notes of some of the suggestions in case I find out who's responsible

Sorry to hear some of your stories too - truly does suck that this sort of thing happens so much.

not in the same league as the OP, but both mine and the gf's cars were keyed last week... nice deep scratches, right down to the metal.

not so bad on mine, a W-reg Focus but it's gutting that they did it on her Alfa.

you know what, i'd rather they came and knocked on my door and offered to fight, at least then i'd have the option of taking them on or not. but to key a car (or steal its contents) is the depth of cowardice. come and face me, scumbag.

makes me want to dig up the front garden and lay a driveway.

Sorry to hear about your car. Someone slashing the roof is my biggest fear with mine. It only takes a second and can cost you a fortune
