Default SO3's Bridgestone reply to query.

I "e" mailed Bridgestone a couple of days ago namely to find my nearest stockist of SO2's, I also asked out of curiosity if the SO3 was suitable for fitment to the S2000. The answer from Bridgestone was NO, the SO3 is not suitable. I know some people who use this board have fitted SO3's, so has any one had any problems, also if you deviate from the recommended tyre how do you stand insurance wise.

My lease company point blank refused to let me change my tyres to Eagle F1's. They told me that the car can only have S02's as my insurance would be invalid

A dealer (not Honda) was changing my rears, I asked Bridgestone the same q & they gave the same answer, as the dealer was being told by their 'expert' who did all their tyre deals that S03's were fine. I ended up having to get the dealer to ring Honda UK & Bridgestone to verify what I was saying, they were miffed with their expert & gave me a rear free !

Had SO3 on the rears, though now replaced with F1GSD3's. Initially they made the car feel more 'planted' at the rear, compared with down to slick SO2's. Became more unpleasant when worn down in the wet than the SO2.
Did they say why they're no good for the S2000? The Noble M12 is about the only thing I've seen wearing SO3's.....
