I also did the electrical tape round the roof hooks trick which got rid of a lot of the wind noise I had been experiancing at motorway speeds


Please tell me more, Or could somone post a link

just swap the striker plates left to right. The roof hook then grabs on an unworn bit of plate and the solves the problem.
