Speaker problems

They should have an arrow on the underside with a '+' sign pointing to the positive side. If not, trace the PCB copper tracks from the '+' and the '-' where you put the speaker wire in to the crossover.

Some are some arent.

PL as you are effectively putting them across the speaker terminals, it shouldnt matter! (the current flows in both directions moving the speaker cone in and out!)

1 farad power caps on the other hand, DO have polarity!

All done. I decided to try and retain the 4uF capacitor as the 4.7uF replacement represented a 17.5% change. So I changed the diddy 0.1uF capacitor and the two 3uF capacitors. However, the crossover still didn't work so I swopped out the big grey 15uF capacitor with a tiny replacement which has 22uF capacitance and now the system is working really well
