What a weekend at Curborough double header, Sat was on the two lapper a layout i had only ever done once before, it was a dry day and i was surprised to be running in 3rd place after T1 then came T2 and i couldn't have done more things wrong if i'd tried which resulted in me dropped to 4th and missing out on my first HSA trophy after 3 years of trying,

Fast forward to Sun this was the Fig 8 layout which i hate with a passion and it was lashing it down, they were a few top flight guys in our group so was hopping for a top 6 against the extreme tyre runners but after P1 i found myself leading the class, then came dinner and the damn rain stopped so for T1 the track was wet but starting to dry and true to form a cocked it up dropping out of gear on the launch and getting side ways into the mole hill this dropped me to 3rd in class which was bumped up to 2nd and a penalty for the guy in front, then came T2 and still no sign of rain the track was now damp with a few dry place's i was next to last to run and saw all the other guys go 6 sec's faster with a couple which included Mike getting down to 71.91 so thought to my self well that's it for another year and of i set trying to keep it steady and clean, well it i couldn't believe it when i crossed the line with a 71.04, i had finally got my first HSA trophy and to cap it all it was a win, a really special win for me against some very good guys one being my instructor from a Curborugh school day which got me and Mike into sprint and hillclimbs 4 years ago

Well done, mega job!
One question as I always thought about doing some hill climbs etc...
How do you warm the car up before hand? surely its quite brutal on the car?

Thanks it was a bit of a shock to win the last race in the poor conditions against all the FWD lads but it sure was nice to finish the season with a 1st place ,

johnckeen, it can be quite brutal on the car , you can warn the engine and with the S2000 having a front oil pump in the gearbox it can warm that to an extent the hardest part is cold tyres and cold brakes although theses do warm throughout the day
