Default squeal..

Evening all,

Replaced my front pads about 2 weeks ago with EBC Red and they are squealing a fair amount still.. when fitting, i cleaned all the bits up, put copper grease between shims and pads and calipers, and the bottom slider pin (as i only undid that one to rotate the caliper out of the way).

Any ideas what could still be causing the squeal? will the pads bed in and quiet down eventually or should i be looking at something else causing the squeal?

Thanks,
J.

It seems that most of these 'race inspired' pads are squealers. The Ferodo DS2500's seem to be the worst for it!

DS2500 do not squeal any more than OEM or any other pads. If you get squealing brakes then you are either short on heat grease, your pistons are sticking, the pads are sticking in the carriers or the slide pins are in the wrong way around / lacking the proper grease.
