Steering column touching manifold
The exhaust side is correct. On the intake side the 'U' bracket is the wrong way round. See how on the exhaust side the 'U' sort of leans away from the engine? Should be the same on the intake side.
That should sort the problem.
Would be easier if Innovative included instructions - not easy to get right if you don't have OEM mounts handy to compare. Then again, there will be threads like this for reference in the future.

Brian,
Thanks for the assistance, as you can see this is what they look with them correctly applied

There is clearance now, albeit, not very much. I looked at the OEM mounts to check the angle on these and without pulling out the protector, I would say that these mounts, as as was mentioned earlier, do over rotate the engine slightly, in comparison. Trying my shim again, something in the order of 5-7mm would bring back I would guess, but I won't bother for now.
The funny thing about this is that U-shaped brackets can only be bolted in one direction, so when I put it on for the last photo I was in a rush and put it on backwards. Before that I had it loosely bolted up and it was still just touching. All seems fine now so I'm not messing about with it anymore. I'm just going to blame too much Christmas drinks over the last few days..
@GaryB - Its just the photo, the bracket is fine
@razzele - Just just dropped the engine to take the photo, its been supported by the jack, while I figure this out and the gearbox mount is not tightly bolted up yet.
Again, thanks for all the help - Can finally get this out of the garage now..
