Unhappy Stereo control adaptor

I am looking at changing my stereo to have integrated bluetooth and ipod controls, i have seen an alpine CDE-104BTi unit that fits the bill, but has anyone installed an after market stereo and got it to work with the OEM controls.

If you do do you know where you can purchase this item?

car audio direct also do interface adapters too and has the conversion loom to change ti to ISO format as well as retaining the dash interface controls

The Modifry one looks very good too as its got added functionality with existing controls!

I've just put a Kenwood KDC-W6541U in mine, I thought about a Modifry, but at about 70GBP I thought better. I ended up with these

Autoleads PC99KEN &
Autoleads PC99X61

for an Alphine, just swap the PC99KEN to a PC99ALP.

Got it from http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/ which came to about 34quid with delivery - there are lots of places on the net to get them.

You don't get the extra button controls that the modifry give you but then the head unit isn't exactly very far away from you in a S2000! The only problem with this adapter that I've spotted is the Ch button scans upwards when on the radio, rather than going to the next preset.

I like the way the Modifry turns up the volume as speed increases. My snipped-off wire is no longer redundant!

It also makes that huge black button do something actually useful, which is nice. It's a bit style over function, out of the box.
