Perry McCarthy (at least according to AutoSport).

He's a 'failed' F1 driver (in the sense that his best F1 result was a DNQ - Did Not Qualify and he was contracted to the failed Andrea Moda team), though he's driven plenty of GT and Sportscars.

Rumour has it he will be presenting TG with Clarkson in the next series which should be good, I have heard him doing an after dinner speaking slot and he's a funny chap.

 

He did some of the Sky PPV Formula 1 last year, and was a right miserable git. I didn't like him at all, so I listened to John Watson instead!

Shame I'll have to go back to ITV and boring James Allen for F1 this year.

 

Woulda been good if it was somone really famous though - kinda spoiled the myth that hasnt it?!

He gave us a "briefing" at Le Mans a few years back. Had a good sense of humour I seem to recall. I wouldn't have described him as tall
