Stopping rust
Hi All,
I re-undersealed my arches the other week, last done it 2 years ago. Car has been rust free since I've owned it (4 years now) however, I took the rubber strips off 2 years ago and when inspecting the other day, noticed this small bit of bubbling had started on one of the rear arch lips:
I want to nip it in the bud before it gets bad enough to need cutting / wedling etc. Whats the best way to do it? As said before, it's been undersealed on the other side.
I was thinking something like scratching off the rusty bit, using kurust , then painting over with a touch up kit. Any other ideas?
Thanks.

It normally starts inside the seam.
You could try drowning it from inside the boot with a wax-based inhibitor. And one on the outside (photo). Dynax seems to be flavour of the month.
But once it's started, you can only slow it.

As Nick said the wax type rust inhibitor but before that spray some Kurust/similar down there to try and "convert" anything that already changed. It's only slowing it down as said above but that still increases the life of the car.
