Default Stretched accelerator cable?

I think I might have stretched the cable that is linked to the accelerator peddle. The cable looks loose under the bonnet too. Just a bit slacker than I remember it being....

Might have been heavy footed while ragging around Chesire a couple of weeks ago....

Has anyone else experienced this?
Is it possible to tighten this cable or am I looking at a visit to Honda?

If is possible (simple in fact) to tighten it, but there's supposed to be some slack in it - the manual mentions how much.

Simple test. With the engine off have someone push the throttle pedal fully down - normally, don't force it. Then while they're holding it down, see if the throttle itself is up against the stop. Not as precise as checking the slop, but should give you an idea. If you're getting full throttle, then I wouldn't worry about it - any slop will only be initial takeup.

I'll give that a go tonight, thanks.
How much "give/slack" is there when you touch your accelerator peddle? I think mine is looser than normal....

Is it completely tight with no give at all when you press it with the engine off?
