Default Sub £100 Stereo?

Can anyone recommend a sub £100 stereo (inc HU and cables required) to replace the stock one and keep all the controls working?

Ideally would like it to stream music via Bluetooth and also have hands free calling?

Something like the Alpine UTE-72BT Media Receiver?

Thanks
Neil

i have that in the FIAT ..... but it's cheap feeling and cheap price - works ok though. Not sure about the controls in the S2000 though.

Yeah I don't mind that its not going to get high use so doesn't have to be super well built.

Having a look seems I could also look at:

JVC KD-X250BT (dropped from 75 quid to 55)
Pioneer MVH-X360BT (75 quid - same as the Alpine)

I suppose it comes down which ones can interface into the S controls - trying to find out!

I just bought the JVC KD-X250BT, seems alright so far but I'm still waiting for the autoleads adapter to get the S controls working.
Will let you know

Cool - nice one. As I don't use the S that much something cheap and cheerful would do the trick

Worked load of overtime this weekend so I've taken a punt on the Alpine and ordered the Autoleads adapter with patch cable.

Should all arrive in the next few days, be nice to have a modern stereo in the car

Got the Autoleads adapters today and fitted it right away and everything seems to work great.
This is how connected all the stuff

And if anyone else is interested in the JVC unit, some pictures installed

Looks good, one of these will be my first mod of my car when I pick her up on Thursday!

Couple of questions,

have you tried two phones connected via Bluetooth simultaneously?

How much room is there behind the stereo cover for a.pen drive in the usb slot when the cover is closed?

Thanks,

Simes.

Depends how big your usb stick is! (oo-er missus!!) If its tiny it might with the flap up, but theres not much clearance with the standard one so prob not likely.........
