Do Boxter, Z4 or VXthingy drivers wave to each other? Do they have big smiles when they see other aforementioned cars? No. No they don't. S drivers do. So get one, sell your shitty mini, sorry but I have a serious dislike for the new minis & in a lot of cases those that drive them, it's nothing personal.
As for videos, there's loads. First one I saw was in F&F 1, the salt flat scene. There's also a video of mine on you tube under jockystarfish, it's nothing special but it shows the fun, enjoyment & happiness that an S can bring.

These things can drink oil, almost on par with a rotary.
Not really. Perhaps on a high miler pre-facelift, mine doesn't drink a drop between oil changes
Yep, agreed mine doesn't drink a drop either. Honda made engine/oil distribution changes to the 04/AP2 model.

My "big engine" '06 has yet to consume any oil since I bought her last summer. I don't think there's any difference in the oiling systems between the two engines. At least not since 2004.

The whole oil consumption thing is a veritable minefield, my 1999 car uses 1 litre for 4k miles so hardly anything

Possibly related to how the engine was run in from new.

If they are similar to Honda motorcycle engines, many buyers run them in too carefully and glaze the bores without bedding the rings in properly.
When running in, the max revs should be kept down but you should still accelerate and decelerate hard to force the rings against the bores.
