I guess I should say that just over 4 weeks ago I stopped emailing him about a custom exhaust being made for my car in light of a few people complaining about him. He was emailing me back regularly.

He'd of almost certainly took the 700 odd he wanted off me and I'd of never received an exhaust, so good job folk posted on here.

The small claims court has a very simple procedure that's easy to follow. I successfully used it recently against a local Honda garage.

Just a brief convo I had with Dixon on Facebook a couple of days ago. I guess Chris has bought him out somewhat. I like the chap myself, feel bad for the customers who are still owed money/parts though.

What's the deal then buddy? You still around?

Dixon Cheng
yeah i am, we are moving our unit now. nearly there

Wayne Callar
Cool. Brands hatch? Why did you abandon s2ki then? That must be your biggest source of customers?

Dixon Cheng
No I didn't, I sold half the shop to my staff and now I have a job to do as well. They will be sorting out the new shop as I won't be always around with my new job.

The guy's still a c@#t, I hope his staff didn't pay too much for the business that he has pretty much destroyed over the past 8 weeks.

If he's done us all over, he'll have done the same to other forums. His buyers have bought a business with a reputation that is now in tatters.

Amazing that he keeps up with this 'moving premises' charade. What's he doing? Moving an item a day?!?!?!?

So - just pop up to Silverstone and pay him a visit if you need a chat about finances, it's not like the place is fenced off from the masses

Well I had a response off Dixon around 3 weeks ago regarding the undertray deal id done with him.I told him it needs collecting as soon as because A, its taking up room that I havent got, B, he should have collected it back in February, and C, I'm expecting a hefty bill of Gary for the work he has done on my car and would like to pay him without drawing money out of my savings.

I text him yesterday and gave him 2 weeks to collect it and pay me, I also need to discuss the exhaust he supplied which was part of the deal that Matty is going to throw away and make me another one.

I already have a buyer for the undertray and unless he collects within this time period I will sell it.

Although I feel uncomfortable about doing this I dont see any other alternative.Im probably going to have to write off the £500 worth of hardrace parts that have been removed from my car and put that down to experience.

The work done on the car through badly supplied/advised parts has cost me in the region of £1000 fo replacement oem parts and labour.I havent got a bottomless pit of money to throw at this feckin car, This has really knocked the arse out of a build that I started of being really proud of but now im almost embarrassed to be associated with.

Well this is a shame but I guess not 100% surprising.

As a balanced review - I took mine in for an alignment (nb this is 2 years ago) and was told it needed new bushes so qas quoted on that job. I also had new clutch and gearbox at the same time.

First shock was that the bush replacement quote didn't include the cost of the new bolts that were obviously going to need replacing as the bushes were being cut out. That added an instant £500 to the bill for a full set of new bolts from Honda (sourced by Dixon). I was already spending over 2k.

Now in fairness - the bushes were done very well, the arms were all resprayed and I was very pleased with the alignment - the car was an absolute hooligan. Although the gear knob was at a funny angle - which I thought was a bit sloppy.

Until the shifter stuck in the "down" position.

I took it back down and the car was returned to me half an hr later with a "working" shifter again.

Which lasted a day.

I couldn't be bothered to make the 100 mile return journey so I called up to ask what they had done last time to sort it, and was greeted by:

"Oh we just sprayed some WD40 down to the linkage"

Less than impressed, I decided to pull it apart to see for myself. The shifter linkage - that is meant to be absolutely crammed with CV grease - was totally dry.

I ordered a full set of new bushes from Hendy and replaced it myself - packing it with grease. All sorted and never had another problem.

I haven't bad mouthed as he seemed to be doing good work for others, but since things are coming out of the woodwork, there's my 2p.
