Torque for Android - Video and Data
Update to this - I'm no longer using aLap as it's not being supported, although the free version is still around, so it;s not bad on that front.
Going to use Torque instead, along with my new camcorder which has a lovely wide angle lens.
Torque's Tracker Recorder plug in does work very well too, and if you want an all-in-one solution, that's a good alternative.
I would however thoroughly recommend getting Race Render (and a paid version at that) as it makes the whole video making process so much easier.
I have a gear calculation spreadsheet all worked out too - I'll see if I can get it uploaded to Google Docs.

I have Torque as well, but I don't have a separate camera. Off the top of your head, could you give us a pros/cons comparison or Torque vs aLapHD?
Thanks!
Just playing with Torque myself (although just stationary outside my house currently). It seems to pick everything up well, live. I can't get it to record anything though?!
I've set it to log a few PIDs at 0.25s intervals, press 'start logging', rev it etc to get some values to change, then 'stop logging'. Then I press 'email logs', but the zip fil is empty. Is there another way to export the logs (assuming they're actually there)?
Cheers
Chris

I'm also curious if anyone has problems with it connecting to their bluetooth dongle. I bit the bullet and bought a good one...the PIXI one, but sometimes it doesn't connect, and sometimes just takes a long time. Yet, aLapHD would connect with it quickly and immediately every time.
The key to making all of this much easier is Race Render (or an alternative).
All you need to do is to record a video file (on the phone or externally) and log a data file. Once you have these two components, it's just a matter of telling RaceRender to use them and then configuring RaceRender to use the correct columns in the data file for your required displays.
Once you've got it all working ok, you can create a template which make subsequent creations really easy.

Torque is very good though.
Don't think so, you could ask for it to be added in the torque forum, or email the developer here: ian@prowl.org

I'm planning to use a proper camcorder and torque log files to do the vids from now on - it's very easy with Racerender.
