We are not talking about the dash mount, but the one that goes on top of the glovebox (see second vid).

Looks good! The speed reading is a little behind what's going on, but for the price you can't go wrong.

Just a same my Westfield isn't OBD!

this is very neat!!!
how did you attach this mount to the glovebox?
did you drill holes?

do you use external fast rate GPS?

i'm in the dilemma - i would like ot have both obd2 and gps conected - i understand that only one bluetooth device can be connected at the same time (didn't try it my self actually).
on iphone they use wi-fi obd2 device. i saw some gps units come with wi-fi - but i don't know whether any android lap timing software supports it.

would appreciate ideas how to get both devices connected and data logged.

It's a modifry mount like this - no drilling required (unless you have a very early car) http://modifry.com/products/mounts/c...windscreen.htm see the pic above for how I made a mount to attach to the modifry.

I used the phone GPS, but it works with an external fast rate GPS - I'm gettingo ne of these for xmas http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005GDIPMG I did use another external for a test and it worked fine with 2 Bluetooth devices connected.

You just link the devices to the phone in the App/Phone Settings - very easy to do.

Good luck!

talked with a friend who works at Texas Instruments at department which develops Bluetooth chips - he was like "just one device? are you crazy?".

he says that BT is up to 8 devices but depends on implementation in specific phone and how specific devices work - master, slave, energy conservation, etc - i lost him after 2 minutes

BTW - how GoPro's video quality is comparing to phone's? (i have Galaxy i9100).
i gues that GoPro's video can be integrated into clip using Racerender, right?

My phone does 1080p recording I think, although the angle is narrower. The on-the road clip above was filmed at 720p whilst the others were 480 I think. I only ever really watch them back on Youtube, so the quality is more than good enough for that.

You could use Racerender to mix data and video (from more than one camera if you wish).

At some stage I'll have aLap video and data combined with footcam
