Default Towing a small car with S2000

My friends 206 has broken down and needs towing to the garage, i was just wondering if it is ok to tow something like this with the s2000.

I know its not recommended to tow an S2000 but has anyone had experience of towing with one

Thanks
Timi

Seems like a good idea until your mate runs into the back of you because there's no braking assistance on his car

I wouldn't go near it with yours.... Surely someone he knows has comprehensive breakdown and can go and sit in the car with him? Or get the garage to come out and do it. £20 cash should do the trick.

never worth the risk in my opinion. assume you would think of using the tow eye? bad idea IMO....

It's fine to tow with the S2k. No different to towing with any other car. Just make sure the towing eye is fully screwed home or it will bend and snap off.

Whether you want to do it or not is another matter.

Would it not be bad on the diff etc?

I just wouldn't entertain it.

your towing wrong then.
the towed car should do all the braking.

tow rope/cable/chain/rod should be as straight and tight as possible. slack is bad as it will jolt either car when it taught (correct spelling??)

imo, it wont do any damage to the diff, else we'd be seeing alot of failed diffs in hilly areas like scotland and wales due to the extra loading on the diff.... which isnt the case.

S2000 isnt the ideal tow car due to lack of torque, but it'd be ok to pull if required.
