Turtle Wax wet'n'black
don't ever be tempted to use this crap on your wheels. It seems to enhance the stickiness of brakedust and is murder to get off your alloys once applied. I will be throwing my bottle out. Any other tips for keeping wet'n'black tyres ? how about boot polish ?

AuoGlym gives good, pretty matt results - best applied with a sponge. Zymol is a dream to use but doesn't last as long as some. TyreSlik goes on ultra shiney but last for ever and goes matt after a day or two. ArmourAll tyre foam used to be my favorite but can stain driveways.

I use the Autoglym stuff. The best stuff I ever used I had given me. I think it was called 'Black Magic' It was in a spray can, produced a deep black matt finish and lasted forever. I've never been able to find any since!

I use Turtle Wet 'n' Black and have been very pleased with it.
But I don't spray it on.
I pour it into a glass jar then apply it with a paint brush. It means that none of it gets on the alloys. It also means it goes a lot lot futher.

Has anybody put carbon fibre brake pads on their car to reduce brake dust problems. I was speaking to a mate yesterday who is an MG specialist and he said that these pads don't produce any dust. Being stupid - is this correct?
I suppose putting them on a new stook would cause warranty problems?
