Just ensure you get the appropriate Cotters/keepers, do not re use the existing ones, they are different..

Couple of questions while this thread is up:

1) besides valve retainers and valve stem sealsh and clearances what else would you replace/service while the valve train is opened up?

2) if I'm swapping out the exhaust side retainers anyway, should I go for f20c or f22c, i.e. though swapping is not necessary on the exhaust side, is there any disadvantage to doing it?

Cheers,

Here is annother video with a realy brilliant idea, the use of nylon rope to fill the cylinder. Then turn the crankshaft back so that the piston comes to TDC. Valves can not drop and they can not move while you compress the springs and retainers. And they dont touch the piston itself.

Beside this, i will change intake and exhaust sides. Honda has upgraded both sides and it is not more work when i allready have removed all the parts to get acces.

If you are going to change exhaust retainers as well, you should go with F20 again.
F22 is a potential downgrade.
